Astafjord is 30 km long and split
into four fjords - Grovfjord, Gratangen, Lavangen, Salangen
- and two straits - Bygden, Mjoesundet. The fjord is surrounded by five
counties; Skaanland, Gratangen, Lavangen, Salangen og Ibestad.
Population is about 10.000 inhabitants in total spread in a
geographical big area.
